The purpose of the Sports Association of Alameda County Deputy Sheriffs is to be a charitable organization whose purpose is to promote the welfare of the community and it's members in sports related activities. The Sports Association of Alameda County Deputy Sheriffs is organized exclusively for charitable purposes and the furtherance of charitable organizations.
The membership includes all members of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office and is governed by a Board of Directors, all of which volunteer their time.
Each year thousands of dollars are raised and donated by the association to local youth and high school sports programs. The recipients of these donations include, Special Olympians, the Athletic Departments of Arroyo High School, San Lorenzo High School, Castro Valley High School and Dublin High School. A wide range of youth programs such as football, baseball, soccer, cheer squads and dance teams have also benefited from the money raised by the association.
The support for the association has grown over the years. With that support, we will continue to provide athletes with opportunities for success.
